More Tours of Melbourne

Head out to Port Phillip Bay and take a balloon trip or take a Melbourne seaplane to see the sights from above. There is also a trip known as, Around the Bay trip, which will show you how immense the body of water is out there. There are also the Penguin Waters Cruises that will bring you out to the rock and Phillip Island and where you might meet a few of the famous fairy penguins. There are great views of the suburbs from the water. One can also hitch a ride on a tram which can bring you out to St. Kilda which is now the cool hip hop place to hang out, that is full of cafes and restaurants.

Out here you can also hang out on the sandy beach, have some fish and chips and relax. Around the corner from Acland Street is the lively Fitzroy Street which is the main thoroughfare in St. Kilda and it leads down to the beach. It was once the seedy part of town, but is now the arty part with lots of students and trendy youth hanging about. Check out Leos Spaghetti bar or the Sapore for a nice cup of coffee. The craft market happens every Sunday and maybe it will suit your taste. Williamstown was the first port in Melbourne and can be reached by taking ferry from Southbank or else the train from the centre.

This place is lovely and maybe it would be worth it to try out the Hobsons Bay Historic Tour. You will be probably toured out at this stage, but if not, take the Ghost Tour around Melbourne, which is a night walk around the city. Well recommended. You can also take a Melbourne Cemetery Tour that includes the Town Hall tour which will tell you of all the famous people and local heroes of the city in times gone by.
